For GP, Emergency Care Practitioner and Advanced Nurse Practitioner Appointments

We are now using TOTAL TRIAGE for both urgent and routine appointments.

Go straight to our practice website homepage where you will find the link to 'Contact Us Online'.  Fill out the form with as much information as you can. This helps the clinician to assess your medical need.

If you are unable to access the internet, we can complete this form for you over the phone.  Our admin team will take you through the questions to complete it. 

Assessment: A clinician will review your information and decide the best course of action. This could be a same-day appointment, a routine appointment, medication or advice on self-care.

Appropriate Care: Based on the assessment, you may be directed to see a GP, a practice nurse, or another healthcare professional. In some cases, you may be advised to visit a pharmacist or another service. We will contact you to let you know the outcome of your request, and if or when an appointment has been made.

Appointment Times

Our aim is to provide our patients with a high standard of medical and nursing care with an emphasis on the family and putting the patient first. We want you, the patients, to feel safe and looked after in a friendly environment. We hope that the surgery will grow and develop and in due course offer more services from bigger premises. Your constructive suggestions and comments will be actively encouraged in order for us to provide you with the services you want. 

From October 2024 we now use Total Triage as a way of accessing GP, Emergency Practitioner, and Advanced Nurse Practitioner appointments.

Evening Appointments & Enhanced Access

We offer a number of evening appointments for patients that work during the day. These sessions are held every Monday evening. The appointments are bookable through the GP only. Please ask at Reception for details.

For Nurse Appointments, Healthcare Assistant, and Phlebotomy appointments 

Please contact our reception team to book in. We book up to 6 weeks ahead for these appointments.

Car Parking 

There is Pay and Display Car Parking (£1/hour) alongside the Surgery. This is owned by the Town Council and not the surgery. The surgery only has 2 disabled spaces and 2 for the GP and ambulances.

Home Visits

Our clinicians typically see 6 patients in the practice in the time it takes to do a single home visit   For this reason we ask patients to attend the practice if at all possible.  However, members of the home visiting team (GP, Paramedic, Nurse) can visit your home if your condition requires a home visit.  Please try to telephone reception before 10:30am if you require a home visit and let us know if your condition is urgent.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

As visits are conducted throughout the day, and our team members have to travel considerable distances between patients, occasionally we can not specify an exact time when you will be visited.  If your condition deteriorated before we can get to you and you need urgent assistance, please contact 999.
